Young Astronomers Club – the perfect introduction for the budding astronomer.

Young Astronomers Club AwardCome along and find out more about the night sky, learn how to use telescopes and take part in other great fun activities. On clear nights you will be able to look through our telescopes.
Held at Southview School in Witham, the club runs on the second Tuesday of each month and is split into two age groups.

Primary school age:
7 – 11 years – 6pm to 7pm
Secondary school age:
11 – 17 years 7pm to 8:00pm

Dates (to save you working out which is the second Tuesday) are:

  • 10th March 2020
  • 14th April 2020
  • 12th May 2020
  • 9 June 2020
  • 14 July 2020

There is no meeting in August and dates for September onwards will be set nearer the time.

It costs just £3 per child per session and squash provided for children. Tea and coffee are available for adults for a small donation. Parents are required to stay and encouraged to join in.

If space allows our co-ordinator may be able to accommodate children outside the age ranges. Please contact us to ask.
