Thank you Co-op Local Community Fund

We are delighted to have received  £1,033.54 from the Co-op Local Community Fund.

Our project was based around accessibility and we will be buying equipment to enable more people to take part in star gazing.

People with mobility issues and small children find it difficult to look through telescopes. People with visual impairments find it hard to see the same detail as the sighted. Lack of access is particularly distressing to those who used to enjoy astronomy. The right technology and adaptions will enable them to participate and they will no longer be excluded from fully enjoying the night sky.

We will be using our new equipment at the events we hold through out the year. Please refer to our calendar to see when the next one is.
