Monthly Meeting 21 October 2026
From Sky to Screen – Making the Invisible Visible
with Claire Bradshaw FRAS
About the Talk
The talk will cover a range of night sky objects from galactic to lunar (catering for a spread of interests)– including how the pictures were taken
About the Speaker
Claire Bradshaw is a Horsham based astronomer, astrophotographer and public speaker, speaking to a range of people from school children to adult groups about astronomy. After getting a U in A Level Physics, she knew she would never be an academic but she combined her love of astronomy and photography to become a back-garden astrophotographer. Every photo she has taken has been taken from the garden as the equipment is just too heavy to lug around.
As an eLearning developer, she likes nothing more than utilising those skills and making astronomy accessible to all.
