Wonders of the Sky (+AGM)

Our speaker is renowned astro-imager Nik Szymanek and his talk is entitled “Wonders of the Sky.”

It’s an introduction to meteorological photography, explaining clouds, rainbows, haloes, glories, sunsets etc. We are told there are lots of pretty pictures, a tiny little bit of science and is suitable for all audiences.
Nik has written a monthly astro-imaging column in Astronomy Now magazine for many years as well as three books on astronomical imaging. Head over to his website for a look at some of his amazing images. http://ccdland.net/

We will have our AGM at the start of the meeting where we will be electing officials for the coming year and hearing a summary of the year’s activity.

Anyone is welcome – beginner or expert – and there is no need to pre-book. A small charge applies to help us cover costs ( £3 for non-members; U16s free). Doors open at 7.15pm, AGM starts at 7.30pm and  the talk starting at 8.00pm. (all times approx)

Note that if you are using satnav system, this postcode may not take you directly to the hall – please check this Google Maps link if you aren’t sure: http://g.co/maps/kt88j
