The Apollo Space Missions with John Press
John is the Chairman of our neighbouring club, the East Essex Astronomy Club and is a very enthusiastic astronomer and speaker.
John will be taking through the history of the Apollo Space Missions.
The Apollo program was designed to land humans on the Moon and bring them safely back to Earth. John will tell us who got there, the scientific discoveries and what didn’t go so well.
We have reciprocal arrangements with EEAC so NEAS members get entrance to their talks at their members rates and they have the same deal with us.
Anyone is welcome – beginner or expert – and there is no need to pre-book. A small charge applies to help us cover costs (typically £3 for non-members; £2 for members; U16s free). Doors open at 7.30pm with the talk starting at 8.00pm.
Note that if you are using satnav system, this postcode may not take you directly to the hall – please check this Google Maps link if you aren’t sure: http://g.co/maps/kt88j
