Muon G-2 – Unlocking Secrets of the Universe

Muon g−2 is a particle physics experiment at Fermilab.

It hit the news recently as findings from the research mean physicists say they have found possible signs of a fifth fundamental force of nature.

If you thought the Higgs Boson discovery was exciting, then this is for you. This could confirm the existence of previously unknown particles and the existence of exotic physics, as well as helping us learn more about how the Universe began.

The science might sound a little tricky but we are lucky as we have Leo to explain it.

About the Speaker

Leo JennerLeo Jenner has spent most of his life in Essex, having been to school at CRGS in Colchester.
He then went on to study physics at University College London.

He spent a year down a mine in the USA operating the equipment chasing neutrinos and spent two years in CERN trying to create a black hole.

This talk will be held via Zoom – details sent by email.
